Medium/Substrate: Acrylic on Canvas
Dimensions (in): 73 x 53 x .15
Artist Note: A satirical comment on the serious subject of the limitless activities and roles that women are often navigating. In this scene, the protagonist is showing us her strength and ability to balance some of those responsibilities. The lack of clothes has several utilties including, but not limited to, reflecting her desire for simplicity, potentially suggests an air of self-confidence, and/or a commentary on objectification. The hair and spine purposely intersect like a natural corn broom as an obvious metaphor, which I suggest lends well to hanging this work flush between the wall and floor. GIven the large size of the work, it is currently unstretched canvas to simplify shipping using an art tube (dimensions above are based on likely post-stretched size).
Dedication: To those with enviable strength and ability to persist.
